Smart Soup to Show Love to SF-Marin Food Bank on Valentine’s Day
Health food producer strives to eliminate hunger and help families in need

Smart Soup, an all-natural, Health-Check certified line of soups, today announced a new partnership with the SF-Marin Food Bank. For every box of Smart Soup sold on February 14, 2015, the company will donate $1 to the SF-Marin Food Bank.

“Our company’s mandate is to provide healthy, hearty, flavourful meals for people,” said Anne Chong Hill, creator of Smart Soup. “It’s important for us to give back, and this partnership with SF-Marin Food Bank allows our customers in San Francisco to give back as well, right in their own backyard.”

“We are always thrilled to have companies partner with us to help those in San Francisco and Marin who need it most,” said Blain Johnson, spokesperson for the SF-Marin Food Bank. “Many donations we see are made around the holidays, but the need is just as great after the New Year, so the timing of this partnership with Smart Soup couldn’t be better.”

Smart Soups are available at San Francisco area Whole Foods Markets.

About Smart Soup

Meet Smart Soup, an extraordinary line of soups made with healthy lifestyles in mind – without sacrificing taste or quality. Anne Chong Hill, a food industry veteran and grandmother, created the soups when she was diagnosed with hypertension and realized a lack of healthy, flavorful prepared meal options on the market. All Smart Soups are made with real ingredients, so everything on the label is something you can pronounce.

About the SF-Marin Food Bank
The Food Bank plays a central role in the food assistance network in San Francisco and Marin, where one in four residents is at risk of hunger. Set up farmer’s market-style, the Food Bank’s pantries enable households to select groceries that can be used to create home-cooked meals. Nearly 60 percent of what is distributed is fresh fruits and vegetables. The Food Bank will distribute more than 47 million pounds of food to the community this year alone – enough for more than 107,000 meals every day.  www.sfmfoodbank.org/media-kit
