The holidays are near! Over the course of the next 7 weekdays, we’re going to introduce a couple ways where you can change up our healthy Smart Soups to something that can satisfy your festive cravings. It’s time to amp up the protein and get a little creative!
Starting with one of our East Coast favourites, the French Lentil Smart Soup is packed with vegetables and includes all the protein and fiber you need in one meal. Although the French Lentil Smart Soup is a great starter soup, sometimes we want a little more substance, especially around the holidays.
To bulk things up a bit, try adding a cup of quinoa. By adding quinoa into the soup, your protein level goes way up, making this healthy soup more filling. Add a dash of spices (thyme, cumin, red pepper flakes, etc.) to flavour the soup according to your preferences and voilà! You’ve got yourself a nice hearty meal for the cold winter days. Enjoy!
